Cold plates by friction stir weld process

Friction stir weld (FSW) is a solid-sate wielding process and technology used to bond similar or dis-similar metals. FSW is considering to be a greener material wielding process because it’s a melt-free, providing better mechanical properties and avoiding other welding material and consumables. With FSW process, Cooling House offers it’s clients new angle to the cold plate design for liquid cooling application. The picture shows a FSW cold plate, which base material is Copper with extremely high thermal conductivity to spread the heat to liquid, and the shell is made by Brass for it’s rigidity and strength.
