Vapor chamber is a thin planar phase-changing heat transfer device with similar working principle to heat pipes. It sustains higher heat flux and offers bigger cross section transferring heat faster than tubular heat pipes, and cool the hot spots and electronics chips very effective in a relative thin envelope. With proper designed wick structure a vapor chamber heat sink operates insensitive to gravity, which means the evaporator area can be above the condensation area.
Standard available vapor chamber’s thickness is 2~4mm, Cooling House also offers extra thin vapor chamber with min. 0.4mm the thickness.
